Folder Redirection and the Recycle Bin. We use Windows Vista and redirect my documents, favorites and the links of the user profiles in our environment. Now, we have the problem, that the recycle bin of these folders is also redirected. These use more and more space on our fileserver. I found the follow on a Tech. Net site: “When you redirect the My Documents, the Recycle Bin size for My Documents defaults to a percentage of the size of the server partition where the redirected My Documents resides. You can manually change this size in 1 percent increments.
Because a Recycle Bin can grow large, encourage users to empty their Recycle Bins periodically.”We have about 6. I have to find a solution for all clients (like GPO, registry). I need a solution only for the redirected folders. Easy how-to recycle bin recovery tutorials for Windows users to recover deleted files from recycle bin, restore recycle bin and recover deleted files from recycle bin. Recycle Bin works as a temporary storage place for all deleted items. When you delete a file by right-clicking on the file and then clicking Delete option or by. There is no possibility to set this in a group- policy only for the redirectet folders. I searched in the web, but found also nothing to set the option “do not move files to the recycle bin” in the registry. Any ideas are welcome.
